Wake is Nine Months

OWake is still just a giant dude. At his nine month check up he was 30.25 inches for height (99th percentile), weighed 21 lbs 13 oz (84th percentile), and his head was 45.7 cm (71st percentile). So needless to say he is growing great.nits hard to believe I used to stress and stress over getting him to gain weight when he was just a skinny guy. Because he's so big I feel like he's never going to crawl. He still sits up for a few minutes at a time but will definitely eat it eventually so he can't be left without pillows around him. He is getting better about boosting himself up on his hands and pivots well but is still not even about to get up on his knees. I've just accepted that he won't crawl until he's a year old. This month he:

He has started to love the swing, walking in his walker outside, random household items, being hung upside down, smelling candles at the store and, of course, all real food.

He still sleeps from about 7:30 pm to 5:00am then goes back to sleep until 7-7:30. He still (usually) takes about a 2 hour nap around 10 am and about a 1 hour nap around 4 pm.

Wears 18 mo-2T clothing and size 4 diapers.

Grew another tooth giving him 8 total.

Is still, and always has been, so good during stroller runs. He will always fall asleep during the seven mile runs and just talks happily but stays awake during the four mile runs. So I have been really lucky in the work out department.

Here are some pictures of this month:
He loves the ladle the most which I don't have a picture of but he is also happy with any kitchen item.
Oh the selfies...
Such the beached whale.
Post bath.
Loving his box.
So he is WAY too big for this little bath but our piece of sh** (excuse my French) neighbor decided it would be fun to smoke in his bathroom which has connecting vents to ours so, needless to say, we've been keeping the door to our bathroom shut and getting ready in the kitchen until we can move apartments. At least Wake thought it was fun to bathe in the kitchen.
It is so hard for me to get good pictures with him since his hands and legs are always going. These were the best I could get ha.

Wake at Ten Months

This last month was pretty crazy with flying home for Christmas and trying to get back to real life in Louisville. Wake changed a TON this last month, well really just the last week. He was starting to suck the life out of me again like he did when he was a newborn just because he had gotten so huge but hadn't progressed in the mobility or the intellectual department at all. He was still breaking my back but had gotten so much whinier because he decided he wished he could crawl but still couldn't move his little fat body ha. So Christmas was hard in Blanding with him getting his first cold and waking up all hours of the night haha but it was so much fun hanging out with cousins of course we never wanted to leave. Anyway, this month he:

Is still in size 4 diapers and 18-24 month clothes.

Is FINALLY on a schedule. Wakes up between 7 and 8. Takes a 1.5-2 hour naps at 10 and then about an hour nap at 3:30 and goes to bed at night at 7:30. He was sleeping all night until 5:30 and then I would feed him and he would go back to sleep until about 7:30 until he got sick and then it all went to crap.

He lives rolling the ball back and forth, playing with the blinds, cupboards, and thermostat, thinks he is the coolest thing ever in his walker and can cruise in it, loves to bathe, read books, and play peak a boo.

Has recently become able to sit up without falling back and eating crap, will touch my nose when asked, will usually shake both arms when asked to "shake", points to everything, has started opening and closing his hand randomly and I'm hoping it will turn into an actual wave ha. He has also starting army crawling! It's ridiculous how much it has improved my life that he can scoot even short distances to get what he wants. He is also starting to get really good at the starfall app and will always tap the green arrow and sometimes the sparkling letters. It was like all of the sudden one day he decided that he could do a few things because it all happened at once and I needed him to learn a few things for my own sanity. Also over Christmas I learned that he is pretty antisocial and is super whiny when he's around big groups (no idea where he got that from) haha.

Here are some pictures of this month:

Lounging with Auntie M and Aus. After he got sick he would just sit there and lay on Simone for hours. Wierdest thing ever. Her laziness must be contagious.
First time meeting Santa. His indifference is not surprising.
Also indifferent at Grams Kathy's Christmas party.
Wake and Brew in their matching Christmas jams that they both slept like crap in. Note to self, don't mess with routine.
Christmas morning opening up one of my presents since he didn't have any (sad I know, but he got a slide before which we left in Kentucky).
First pictures with Uncle Cole.
Christmas Day and Grama Johnson's.
Wake and Gram's Kathy.
Meeting Kyle and Taylor for the first time.
And meeting Cass for the first time. His face is too good here.
Haha Aik still loving pushing his "little" cousin around everywhere.
Aik is all about the love.
Car seat pictures courtesy of Aunty A on our very long drive back to the airport. Poor Wake had no idea he was on his way back to Kentucky, poor kid...
Christmas in Kentucky before getting to Blanding.
Loving sitting in the front of the cart.
Nate made this meme because Wake is always putting the wrong end of his toothbrush in his mouth. Also, Nate is weird and makes memes ha.
